Stripe is the global, developer-first payments platform, available in Malaysia with FPX, cards and selected e-wallets. It’s the strongest choice if you want world-class APIs, documentation and products like Billing, Connect and Payment Links.
Malaysia pricing is simple but on the higher side for local methods: FPX and domestic cards are both 3% + RM1.00. International cards add +1% (≈4% + RM1.00), with a further 2% if currency conversion is required. GrabPay is 3% and Alipay 2.9% + RM1.00. There’s no setup or monthly fee.
Stripe Billing handles subscriptions and metered usage well, and Payment Links give a no-code option. DuitNow QR isn’t listed in standard pricing. Best for developer-heavy or cross-border businesses that value the platform over the lowest local FPX rate.
