Antom is Ant International’s merchant acquiring platform, and Malaysia is one of its home markets: its KL Global Development Centre at Exchange 106, TRX opened in July 2026 with around 1,500 fintech roles. For Malaysian merchants it combines local rails (FPX, cards, Touch ’n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay) with the Alipay+ cross-border network, letting one integration accept wallets used by roughly two billion people across Asia.
It is developer-first: hosted checkout and cart plugins for the no-code path, full APIs with webhooks and tokenized recurring billing, and notably an official MCP server (open-sourced) so AI agents can create and manage payments directly, an area where Antom is an early mover alongside the card networks’ agentic-commerce pilots.
Positioning skews enterprise and cross-border. No Malaysian rate card is published, every fee is quoted by sales, and settlement defaults to T+4 working days with faster cycles negotiable, so smaller local-only merchants may find domestic gateways simpler and cheaper to start with.
